UK Twitter Users Posts Hilarious Memes as #TrumpFacts
Donald Trump has caused controversy all over the world with recent comments suggesting that the U.S should close its borders to all Muslims on a temporary basis. Along with this, he also suggested that some parts of London are so radicalised that the police officers there are afraid for their own safety. In response, UK-based Twitter users have been replying to the remarks in typical English sarcasm-ridden style with an influx of memes.
Speaking to MSNBC in the US, Mr Trump said: "We have places in London that are so radicalised that the police are afraid for their own lives", which David Cameron said was "divisive, unhelpful and quite simply wrong". In a bid to make light of the situation and mock the questionable inaccuracy of the presidential candidates comments, pictured are some of the hilarious photos making the rounds on social media. Many of them feature typical English symbols, cultural icons or personalities, as seen below:
London mayor Boris Johnson said Donald Trump's comments were "complete and utter nonsense" and in equally humorous fashion declared that "the only reason I wouldn't go to some parts of New York is the real risk of meeting Donald Trump".
