Facebook Helps Support ‘Step Up: Stop Bullying’ Campaign From Childline
Facebook has teamed up with Childline to help promote its ‘Step Up: Stop Bullying’ campaign.
The campaign leads up to ‘Anti-Bullying Week’ which takes place from the 19th to the 23rd of November this year. The initiative asks users to support the cause by participating and interacting with a special application on Facebook.
Facebook said: “We believe in creating a culture of accountability where people report bullying and stand up for each other, and we also believe in using the power of friends to help stop bullying, whether it takes place in the school playground or online.”
The campaign hopes to raise awareness of bullying across the nation. The app will provide users with information on who can help if you are being bullied or know someone who is.
With the help of Facebook, Childline’s campaign will be able to spread the word much quicker and to a broader spectrum, utilising the social media sites vast appeal.
How much do you think Facebook will be able to help the campaign?
