LinkedIn Endorsements Make Recommending A Lot Easier
LinkedIn has offered a recommendations service for years where people can get support from fellow professionals and businesses. With a recommendation, users gain more credibility and would show up in searches more often.
But now, endorsements have become the easier way for people to earn credit for their skills. In a matter of seconds, you can now certify that someone has a particular set of skills in comparison to the 10-15 minutes that giving a recommendation might take.
To give an endorsement, go to the top of a connection’s profile and you will find an endorsement box at the top of the page. Here you can click on or write in other skills that you would like to endorse.
To see other endorsements, go further down the page and you can then click on a plus sign icon to further endorse this person. When an endorsement has been completed, it will show up in your LinkedIn News Feed, and spread the word.
This development means that the more affirmation that you get for your skills and talents, the more you will show up in the search results and the more trust you will gain from employers. This then progresses onto more leads generated through LinkedIn.
