Google+ Changes Videos Tab To YouTube Tab
Google+ profiles and YouTube channels are now integrated further, with a new YouTube tab option on the Google+ profile page and improved video sharing across both platforms.
Google+ users who have linked their YouTube channel with a Google+ profile page can now share videos simultaneously on both sites. All the user has to do is check a box when uploading a new video on YouTube and it will be posted on their personal Google+ page.
Users can also change the video tab on their profile page to a YouTube tab, which, when clicked, displays videos from their YouTube channel on the page.
“For those of you who are aspiring musicians, pundits, comedians, or brands, we’ve now made it even easier for you to connect with your fan base”, said Google engineer Dom Carr, announcing the update in a recent post. “Starting today, we’ll display all of your public YouTube videos on your Google+ profile.”
A number of celebrities have already updated their Google+ profile pages to display the YouTube tab. Musicians Snoop Dogg, who recently appeared in a festive Epic Rap Battles Of History video, and Bruno Mars have both changed the Videos tab to a YouTube tab.
Carr also included the hashtag #googleplusupdate to his post in order to spread news of the change on Twitter.
