Foursquare Now Links To A Businesses Twitter Account
A small change on Foursquare could make a big difference to a businesses success in the long term. Companies will now have the option to connect their Twitter account with check-ins made on Foursquare.
This change could help a business to connect with their customers and help to entice new customers. Their account name/handle will be accessible to all users on Twitter when someone checks-in at their establishment.
Up until this move, a check-in on Foursquare would be mentioned on Twitter by giving the name of a company but not linking them to this particular company’s Twitter account.
If a business chooses to link their Twitter account to their Foursquare check-ins, the name of the business will be linked to their Twitter account. For example, this tweet below:
Twitter said that: “It’s a small change to help you better reach out and connect with people who love your business.”
The linking of the two social sites make it easier for users to find your business and discover what it is that you can offer to them.
This change should automatically happen if you have already claimed your business and linked it to your Twitter account. Those who haven’t can do so on Foursquare with this link.
