Facebook Announces PMD Competition Winners
Facebook has announced the seven winners of its “The Era Of The News Feed” Preferred Marketing Developer competition, with Ampush taking away the Jury Grand Prize.
The Innovation Competition, which ran from the last quarter of 2012 to the first quarter of 2013, challenged PMDs to develop innovative tools for Facebook advertisers that focused on utilising the news feed.
The seven finalists – Ampush, KRDS, Moontoast, Optimal, SocialCode, SocialFlow and Unified – were chosen from a pool of over 50 applicants based on “the quality of the products, their focus on news feed, and the innovation approach overall”, explained Facebook in an announcement on the Facebook Developers page.
Jury Grand Prize winners Ampush created YOGA – Your Open Graph Applications – a platform which integrates with the news feed and Facebook’s open graph to facilitate “hyper-personalized consumer engagement and [generate] authentic ‘voice-of-user’ stories […] Marketers can leverage YOGA’s analytics and ads integration to amplify stories and leverage “referred intent” to achieve marketing objectives.”
The other six winners are ranked in alphabetical order on the Developers page.
