Amaze the social media world by becoming a YouTube star
Annotations across videos: So you’ve just clicked on a video and watched an advertisement for a hideously expensive German made car. You frustratingly wait for it to start, and when it does, little text boxes that say things like “Thumbs Up!” and “Subscribe!” Your face suddenly changes from frustration to anger, but soon these little boxes will help you gain viewers. These are called YouTube annotations, and through these you can link from one video to another, as well as to playlists of your videos. They are a great way to direct your audience towards your other videos, and this obviously drives your view count.
Playlists: YouTube users often overlook Playlists, but again they are a great way to increase your video views. A playlist is a list, or group, of videos that will play in order. The good thing about playlists is that they come up separately in search results. This allows users to have a better opportunity of locating, or stumbling across your videos in a search. Because of the nature of playlists, viewers will often stick around and watch more than one video due to the ease of just sitting there and it functioning automatically.
Subscribers: This is the best way to gain more views on your channel. The people that subscribe to your channel are obviously fans, and they will wait eagerly as you plan to upload a video. The more subscribers your channel has, the more views your videos will receive, especially in the first moments of uploading a video. When someone subscribes to your channel, your videos will automatically show up on their home page, and they will be emailed when you upload something new to the site. To gain new subscribers, link annotations to your videos, and ask your viewers to subscribe in support of your content.
Bulletins: As more subscribers commit to your channel, your name will become more of a brand on the site, therefore it is crucial to communicate with loyal followers. The best way of doing this is through bulletins. Bulletins let you easily send out text and videos to all of your subscribers and the bulletins appear on the homepage of your subscribers.
Add keywords for search: enter one or more tags for the video, separating each tag by a space. A tag is just another name for a keyword and is as important as any keyword on your website or in your online advertising. A tag, which can be a single word or a phrase, should be keywords customers might use in search queries when they're looking for products or services like yours.
Optimizing the tags you apply to your videos is just like search engine optimization for your website. You can use Google's keyword tool to find the most effective keyword or keyword phrase. When you figure out the keywords they'll most likely search for, you have the most effective tags for your video.
You can use as many tags as necessary to capture all possible search words -- up to a total of 500 characters, that is. You should include tags for your company name and the topic of the video, along with other potential search terms. Enter first those tags that you think will drive the most traffic.
You also should include your most important tags in your video's title and description. If someone is searching for a particular word or phrase, he or she will most likely want to see that word or phrase when that person is reading about the video. Make sure you incorporate keywords into your description so they seem natural.
Video Responses: Posting video responses add an extra element of personality and gratitude. It’s easy to do and can get you a substantial number of clicks. Head over to the video you’d like to post your response to. You will notice that next to the comment box you can click on “Create a video response”. Click and you’ll be directed to a page that lists all of your videos. Click on the one you’d like to use as your video response.

Community: Taking advantage of the YouTube community is crucial in order to gain popularity. By commenting on other videos, and subscribing to the YouTube artists that you like, it can gain you some extra views also. This can also open the door for future collaborations. This is great because then you are combining two fan bases, and can be beneficial for both users.
Topical Content: Contemporary content is key if you want to be a success online. It is a lightning fast world where phases come and go, but if you can create a niche and be seen as a pioneer of that particular craze, then you’re on to a winner. Alternatively, a safer way to play this is to review new music, movies and theatre productions, as this ensures that your content is topical, whilst delving into popular culture also.
There is now no longer any excuse for lack of views on YouTube. After taking this advice you should be selling millions of records and committing criminal felonies in no time. Good luck YouTube fans!
