Opinion - Voice It On Social Media
Voicing your opinion on Social Media with impact
Voicing your opinion has never been easier with the help of social media. There was once a time where if you wanted to pass comment on a brand, product or service, you had to go through the rigmarole of phoning a customer service department, or even worse having to actively write a letter (no way). Google changed all that, as now they are the entry point to anyone looking for specific information on a company.

The birth of networking means that it’s now easy to voice your opinion about everything! Even to the point where millions are being offended on a daily basis in 140 characters or less. More businesses recognised this and are paying more attention to what is being said online.
To voice your opinion effectively, there are a few tips that should be considered:
Be you
Social media is a hotbed of customer
complaints, but sometimes you just want to either praise or mention a
firm. If so, always use your real name
so that the company can find out who you are. By doing this they will be able to respond quickly, and may personally to
your comment.
Try customer service the old way
Old school tactics can often come in handy, and
having your name and concern on record is one of the most effective ways to
build your relationship with a company.
Do your research
Before diving in with a crazy complaint, be
aware. Check some background information
about the overall reputation of the company, and how they usually handle complaints. Search all their social media
accounts and see how they generally conduct themselves online.
No guns blazing
Don’t go in using all of your cards straight
away because this can backfire. Be calm
and ask if someone can resolve your issue first. Social media is in the public eye, and you
don’t want to embarrass yourself.
Don’t make a scene
If you want to generate interest for your own
personal glory, then make a video of your singing in front of an open fire and
post it on YouTube. Keep the complaint
simple and courteous, and you will most likely get a response that treats you
with respect.
