Samba shambles
Social Media never lets anyone off the hook, so it came to no surprise that after Brazil were humiliated in the World Cup Semi-Finals at the hands of Germany, the Internet were ruthless in their reaction. Germany’s annihilation of the host nation seemed kind when in comparison to some of the tweets that were floating around in the aftermath of the damage.
Many expected the Brazilian national team to lift the World Cup in their own back yard, so when they were the victims of such an onslaught by a far superior side, social media users posted hilarious tweets, mocking the team and fans.
A number of tweets were focused around a number of specific themes, and here are some of the best:

So there you have it. Brazil are out of the 2014 World Cup Finals, which is of course no disgrace in itself, but the manner of the defeat was beyond embarrassing. Social media is a great thing in many different ways, but sometimes, if your favourite sports team is on the receiving end of a drubbing, it can be a cruel, lonely place.
