Hyperlapse Now Supports Front Camera

Take The Ultimate Selfie

There has been an ongoing competition in between all the people who have access to the internet and a camera to take the most interesting selfie that will get you the most likes. Because of this competition, a load of selfies in unlikely situations have been uploaded to social media. Someone at my graduation ceremony even took a selfie with my University's Chancellor instead of shaking her hand. The competition is fierce and creativity and guts are always rewarded with likes and shares.

Thanks to Instagram's new app, Hyperlapse, you can now up your selfie game. Hyperlapse, which was released recently, lets you take very high-quality and cinematic time lapse videos and even has its own built-in stabilization technology. As a result, your time lapse videos will not look shaky but very professional.

When the app was first introduced you couldn't use the front camera but now you can also click the reverse button and turn this technology on you. Instagram call this new development the 'selfielapse'. The principle is that same as that behind hyperlapse. Once you press record two timers appears: one tells you how long your video is and the other tells you how long it will last after it is compressed.

If you are tired of taking boring lifeless selfies, selfielapse is for you. There are a few examples of how cool the app will make your selfie look: you can film your face as you whirl around in an office chair, and the results look a lot more interesting than your standard office selfie; you could stand in a busy street and film the world go by. Even your standard bike ride selfie could be a lot more interesting.

It is certain that this new feature will revolutionize the traditional selfie. Better keep an eye out on Instagram and Facebook to see the creative and interesting ways people will use selfielapse to try and win the ultimate selfie competition!
