Kander is to Brutal Honesty What Tinder is to Dating
Since launching in 2012, dating simplifier Tinder has caught on like wildfire (sorry, I had to). It’s so popular in fact that its ‘swipe to like’ format is being road tested for other means, from puppy adoption to travel information. Now there’s yet another iteration and it might just be the most interesting one yet.techcrunch.com |
Sharing options are split between private sharing to your own followers or opening it up to full public judgement. You can keep an image polling for a minimum of 5 minutes and a maximum of 24 hours. Votes are anonymous, but commenter identities are revealed once the poll ends, which probably just adds insult to injury if anyone’s said anything disparaging. Nobody really wants to find out that their ex thinks their latest tattoo is seven shades of awful.

You can understand the thinking behind it, allegedly the
idea came when the creator was questioned by his (possibly former) girlfriend
about which dress was better and his honest answer wasn't exactly warmly met.
Placing a screen-sized barrier between you and the person you’re being honest to makes the whole process a little less galling, but equally people could (and probably will) use it as a means to be relentlessly nasty.
