Chris Evans Completes the Super Bowl Bet by Visiting a Seattle Hospital
Everyday Heroes
Yep, it’s me again, talking about Chris Pratt and Chris
Evans’ Super Bowl wager. Again. At this point even the NFL has moved on from
the Super Bowl, instead shifting news focus to the reams up players being
traded around through free agency like huge, muscle-bound pogs. The Chris
Marvel Brothers however are still riding the wave.
As you’ll doubtlessly remember, Chris Pratt (Starlord) is a
Seahawks fan and Chris Evans (Captain America) is a Patriots fan and they bet each other that whoever's team lost the title would visit a children’s hospital
in the winning city, wearing the winning team’s attire.

For confusing, stupid
reasons, the Seahawks lost, and Pratt obligingly donned his ravager garb and
travelled over to Christopher’s Haven Children’s Hospital in Boston, MA. He
made no effort to incorporate a Patriots jersey into his costume, but Evans did
have a ‘Pratt 49’ one made up for him, just to be sure that he never forgets
the year his beloved team fell to the Brady bunch.
Now, being the good sport (GET IT!?) that he is, Chris Evans
has fulfilled his end of the bargain too. Draped in red, white and blue (and
with Pratt in tow), the movie star headed over to Seattle Children’s Hospital
last Saturday, armed with a treasure trove of Marvel toys to hand out.
If the photographs are anything to go by, the children were delighted to see the pair, as were many of the parents. “I can't
wait to watch the Captain America movie with Oskar” One grateful mother told the staff “It will be like he knows him personally now."

One of the children they visited, 14 year old Tyler Gower,
was (and is) preparing to have a bone marrow transplant to treat his acute
myeloid leukaemia. Allegedly he’s a pretty big Guardians of the Galaxy fan and he
was appropriately astounded when Starlord came striding into his room. Outside
of the visits, the dynamic duo have raised tens of thousands of dollars for the
two hospitals and done massive amounts to raise awareness. It almost makes me
wish that the Seahawks and Patriots end up clashing again for Super Bowl 50,
but not quite. I’m a Falcons fan, at the end of the day, and so is Samuel L. Jackson,
who also happens to play Nick Fury in the Marvel films, just felt like I needed
to point that out…
