5 Strange Changes Caused by Social Media
We are quite officially The Social Media Generation. We have grown with this technology and come to accept it as part of our everyday routine. It isn't just a phase anymore, because even our parents and grandparents have got involved. Our children are on it before they can even type.
With all this going on, it is sometimes easy to forget what life was like BC (Before Computers). The industry has undergone many changes to accommodate for this phenomenon and I have compiled a list of a few of my favourite:
1.
Tinder Babies
This rather special baby onesie was developed by a 28 year old digital marketer. The outfit has “My
parents swiped right” proudly plastered across the front.

This guy might be onto something, but he can’t make much of
a living from this, because let’s face it: There can't be that many
people who make babies after meeting on Tinder. Can there?
Even if there are, how many would be honest enough to
say they met on Tinder.
Oh, and did I mention this very basic baby grow is
$19.99.
There's more details on Tinderbaby.com if you're still interested.
2. Love Heart Sweets
You might remember these Love Heart variations that got
released back in November 2014. It all came about when the makers of Love Hearts asked their fans to
submit suggestions for their 60th year anniversary makeover.

The 14 chosen messages featured some social media references,
just proving how this generation has become one based around Facey B and
Twitter.
As someone who is always on it, my favourite message is “Skype
Me!” - I definitely need a stash of these. “Totes Hilar” also got a chuckle out of me.
3.
Nail Art

I get my nails done every two weeks, but I’ve got to admit
it had never crossed my mind to get these babies! With the growing number of social networks, the number of variations like this have also grown. I've seen the Tinder flame, the ghost from Snapchat and even Facebook’s liking thumbs up. The opportunities
are endless and I love them.
4.
Celebs
Celebs love to convince us that they’re actually really down
to earth and "real." And one of the ways they can do this, is by sinking down to our level and getting on social media.

We’ve seen Leo Di Caprio and Hilary Duff get involved with Tinder and we’ve
all heard about Kylie Jenner’s Snapchat escapades. Every other music video
features something too. Carly Rae Jeps got WhatsApp involved in her music video “I Really
Like You” – who would have ever thought we’d see Tom Hanks sending Carls a rather
cute monkey emoji?
Katy Perry’s lyric video for 'Roar' literally wasn’t a lyric
video at all, it was a WhatsApp inspired Emoji video. It also landed an impressive 80 million hits.
5.
Animals
We all know I love a cute puppy or a funny kitten, but with the arrival of
social media it seems we have also decided it's time to give our pets a platform (and a human personality).

We’ve covered everything on this blog from tweeting sharks, to dating dogs on Tinder, to hilarious Cats on YouTube. I'm certainly not one to complain about the cuteness overload!
So there we have it folks and I'm sure this is just the tip of the iceberg. Everywhere we turn, every new film, every book - it will all feature Facebook or Twitter. As social media evolves, remember to keep an eye out and remember how things were before the great social network boom.
