San Francisco 49ers Send Snapchats of their Alternate Uniforms
Snapchat has been used to document worldly events, weddings,
display CVs and now it has even been used to unveil a new American football
uniform.
Up until today I had no idea football teams even had
official accounts on Snapchat. But the San Francisco 49ers, who go by
OfficialSF49ers, began their snapchatting career by showing sneak peeks of the
team’s brand new alternate uniform.

The draft began on Thursday, so there really isn’t a better
time to start getting your fan base all ready and raring to go for a new season.
Snapchat users and niners fans only got a brief glimpse of a shoulder with
the number 74 on. We can see black, red and the trademark 49ers gold, but that’s
it. We have no idea what colour the pants will be and not much of an idea about the rest of the jersey.
However, within a few hours, speculation began and a highly
suspect full body photo appeared on Twitter. It looks like the jersey we saw on Snapchat and number 74 is present again. But there is no confirmation where
this image has come from.

It was reported that they might unveil the alternate kit formally at
the Draft party but there’s been no news since.
This excitement has just proven how Snapchat is coming on in
leaps and bounds. I thought the app would be a passing fad. I don't know whether it’s the developers coming up with clever ideas or whether it's down to the users who are finding
new ways to keep it current. Whatever it is, it's working.
All we do know is this was a clever move by the niners and I’m
sure it won’t be long until other football teams follow suit.
Using Snapchat in this way to get down on a personal level will
bring teams and fans closer than ever before. I presume you can even Snapchat
them back! Imagine that: “Just gonna
send Tom Brady this snap, two secs…”
