No spoiler alert before showing how all those shows ended I haven't seen yet? #Emmys2015

Host Andy Sandberg's comments that followed the montage almost seemed to predict the backlash that was to ensue: "Welcome back to the Spoiler Awards. I guess everyone on every show died". With this in mind, could the anti-climatic amalgamation have been a predetermined PR stunt? After all, all publicity is good publicity…right?
Also making waves on social media is Viola Davis' acceptance speech for her monumental win of Outstanding Actress - the first time the award has been bestowed to a black actress. The first Emmy nomination of her career, David began her speech with a timeless quote from an 1800's abolitionist that resonated perfectly with the occasion: "In my mind, I see a line. And over that line, I see green fields, and lovely flowers, and beautiful white women with their arms stretched out to me over that line. But, I can't seem to get there no how. I can't seem to get over that line." As the actress explains, "That was Harriet Tubman in the 1800s," she said. "And let me tell you something, the only thing that separates women of color from anyone else is opportunity. You can not win an Emmy for roles that are simply not there." Twitter showed a more positive outpouring for the star, with supportive tweets from both fans and peers alike.
