Top #SocialMedia #Personalities of 2015
Much to our surprise it is nearly the end of the year again so we thought we'd give you the overview of which of your favourite personalities have had a great year. We will not only be looking at those who have grabbed the most followers, but also the accounts that are a great read.
It is no secret that Taylor Swift dominated Instagram this year as she has hit nearly 60 million followers. She has maintained top place for a few months now. However on Twitter it looks like Katy Perry takes top with 79.4 million followers. The two singers have without a doubt secured their places for a little while longer but it looks like President Barack Obama isn't far behind Katy Perry. So who knows. Maybe he will get top place in 2016?
But it is not all about how many followers you have. Some accounts may not have as many followers, but they are really enjoyable to read. Dwayne Johnson AKA The Rock always shares his personal thoughts and seems to have a great sense of humour. Scrolling through both his Twitter and Instagram accounts, he shares a mixture of workout, personal and more official pictures. If you are looking for an account to follow to feel good and actually get something out of it, I reckon The Rock is one to do that. His tweets are just like any one of ours, talking about the latest films or road trips. More recently he shared a beautiful picture of him and his new born little girl. The picture went viral and it really brings a smile to my face. That post in particular really gave him a spot in my top personalities of this year so this is a big recommendation from me.

If you are more into fashion, or socialites, you've probably already guessed who I will recommend. The Kardashians have had a busy year, and Kim K is the leader. Her sisters have had a lot of success too so it really does become a personal choice. But for Kim it has been a good year. She has recently given birth to her little boy Saint and just this week released her own set of emojis. If you haven't seen them then search for Kimojis and you will soon see. So yes, if you are looking for something a bit more based on fashion and the life of a celebrity then Kim K is the person to follow. Her whole family have stolen the spotlight this year, and it looks like they are just getting warmed up. She is also second top account on Instagram, thanks to her glamourous selfies.

Justin Bieber has come out of his shell this year and smashed it. Those who could not bear him before hate themselves for saying how much they love his new album. He is probably the one to have acquired the most followers and fans this year especially since the release of his single 'Sorry' and he has already had 2 number one hits this year. His newest release 'Love Yourself' is favourite for Christmas number one. His success even marks him as top male on Instagram.
For those who are little more YouTube orientated you'll be glad to hear that PewDiePie is the one to hold the top title for us this year. He has hit over 10 billion views this December and his channel is the most subscribed on YouTube since 2013. He has over 40 million subscribers and refers to his fans as the Bro Army. So I'm sure that they will be happy to hear about his outstanding success. He is only at the start of his success as 2016 looks very promising for him. The video following video does contain some explicit content, but this is the montage he made to thank his fans.
There we have it. 2015 has been an odd year on social media, with various accomplishments and some other plain old weird stuff. But I am sure that 2016 will beat that still. There is a personality for everyone in this list and I hope that you feel like checking them out. From me though, have a great New Year and be prepared for more of this in 2016!
