Snapchat Have Enabled the Use of Bitmoji
BuzzFeed |
Bitmoji is an app you can install to design an emoji character that looks like you. You're then provided with a set of emoji that feature this image of you. You can then use these emoji anywhere you like, as long as the app and service enable them and you have they keyboard turned on. Snapchat now wants users to be able to use this Bitmoji in both the chat and on snaps.
It's probably wise to remember less is more when it comes to adding something big and bold to your photo. It could add a little something or if you use too many it could seem a little much. Imagine, though, being able to share your inner thoughts with a well-placed cartoon version of yourself a-la Lizzie McGuire. It's definitely something that some teenagers and young people will want to take advantage of.
To add a Bitmoji to your pictures, you first need to go to your settings to make sure you'll be able to. If you have the most recent version of the app, then you'll see a Bitmoji option that you can tap and turn it on. Once that is done return to your Snapchat camera and take your photo. If you click the turning page button, then you'll see the emoji you can use. Just tap the face icon at the bottom and you can access the Bitmoji like you would any normal emoji.
This isn't exactly how we thought Snapchat would handle BitStrips but it is a good first start. The Bitmoji will brighten up your snaps and they can add some different reactions for you to be able to send in the chat. Allowing users to use Bitmoji also makes Snapchat into a slightly more typical social media service. Most of them offer different keyboards and services to make their apps more fun and aside from the filters and what makes Snapchat so special, Snapchat hasn't really done much that allows you to utilise other apps.
This new feature is available now as long as you have the most recent Snapchat update and Bitmoji installed.
