Instagram Introduce Questions Sticker for Stories
This Tuesday Instagram announced a brand new feature called Questions Stickers. Described as “a fun new way to start conversations with your
friends so you can get to know each other better”, the new feature allows users
to add stickers to their Stories which allow them to ask and/or answer
questions from their friends and followers.
The questions sticker is available via the sticker tray
after taking any photo or video. You simply select the sticker, type out your
prompt and wait for responses, which your friends can send with ease directly
from the sticker itself. There is no upper limit on the number of responses
that can be sent, all of which can be found in your story’s viewer list. From
here you can tap their response to create a new story entry with the response displayed.
The response is shown without any identifying markers such as usernames or profile
photos to ensure a certain level of privacy.
While this is not exactly a ground-breaking update, it does
further cement Instagram’s intention to navigate away from its rather image-focused
past and transition into something a little more social; it is called social
media after all.
The questions sticker
is available as part of Instagram version 52 on iOS and Android.
